Above all else that appears to be happening in the world right now, there is one reality which is the overarching narrative of it all. And when the Lord showed me the magnitude of it, I was astounded. He said:
THE ISRAELITES CROSSING OVER INTO THE PROMISED LAND WAS ACTUALLY A PROPHETIC DECLARATION OF THE GLOBAL EXODUS THAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW.
Wow, the Israelites crossing the red sea was a big, BIG deal! It is historically accurate, it happened, and it profoundly changed the legacy of the Israeli people, to whom we have been grafted in. And yet the Lord said to me that this awesome, nation-transforming miracle which happened as His people left Egypt and went into the promised land, was actually a prophetic type of what is happening RIGHT NOW!
The Lord has been giving His people invitation to come out of the harlot… come out of the world and the world’s ways of doing things… come out of the old man… come out of religion… come out of immaturity… and come INTO the promised land of Kingdom of God living.
The Lord says, WE ARE AT THE POINT OF INCEPTION, THE POINT OF BREAKTHROUGH.
The TIPPING POINT place was the red sea.
Many have not realised what is happening… they have been happy to carry mixture in their hearts or have been unaware they were carrying it, and that they are still in Egypt… There’s still time to join us at the edge of the red sea, but not much. Sometimes people simply don’t choose to leave Egypt even though God has made Pharaoh let His people go. Sometimes it ‘feels’ safer in Egypt, but in reality there is nothing but slavery and bondage there.
But for those who have answered the invitation, we are, as the Israelites, on the edge of the red sea, about to walk into our promised land (some are already living there). This is the promised land corporately as a body. The promised land is the land of victory on every side. It is, in reality, THE KINGDOM OF GOD displayed to the world. This is the place where God’s promises come to pass, there is victory because His Kingdom ways of doing and being work, and the knowledge of the glory of the Lord covers the earth like the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14). This will be the start of what some prophetic voices are calling ‘The Kingdom Era’.
The Israelites, sitting on the edge of their promised land, must have felt very hedged in, with the red sea on one side of them and seeing the approaching Egyptian army on the other. If we look at the elite Egyptian army which is pursuing us, we too could feel quite uncomfortable. Egypt doesn’t want us to be free from bondage. The elite of this world, and the governments that have contrived to control and limit do not want the people to be free. They don’t want them to come out of slavery. But we are!
Being in that uncomfortable position is what enabled the Israelites to see great glory! Had they not been willing to be there, hedged between the red sea and the Egyptian army, the Lord would not have been able to utterly destroy the entrenched evil that the Egyptian chariots represented. And that’s what the Lord wants to do for us today. He doesn’t just want to get us out of Egypt – He wants to utterly destroy everything of Egypt both within us and around us!
AS WE STAND OUR GROUND BETWEEN THE RED SEA AND THE EGYPTIAN ARMY, THE LORD WILL DO MORE THAN OPEN THE PATH THROUGH THE SEA BEFORE US. BECAUSE WE ARE WILLING TO STAND HERE, THE LORD WILL UTTERLY DESTROY OUR GLOBAL ENEMIES BEFORE OUR VERY FACES.
This is not about a people group, a tribe or a tongue. This is about the world, the nations. This is the position that every single believer across the globe can choose to take.
The Israelites could have just walked straight across the bottom of the red sea without the Egyptian army pursuing them, and have totally avoided that uncomfortable situation. Yet, had that happened, the Lord could have delivered His people, but the entrenched evil that the Egyptian chariots represent, would not have been destroyed and would have remained. The Israelites could have just stayed in Egypt in the first place. It is precisely BECAUSE of their decision to worship and follow the Lord that Egypt chased after them. And it’s because of our decision to worship and follow the fire and the spirit of the Lord as He moves, that the elite Egyptian army is chasing after us. We could have chosen to stay in the land of slavery… the land of bondage, and to adjust to it and accept it. But that’s not what sons of the Most High God do. And that’s not what the Israelites did.
Instead, because the Israelites obeyed the Lord, they found themselves in a position in which they could not save themselves and only God could save them – faced with an oncoming army, bearing down on them whose only intended option for the children of God was to submit again to a yoke of slavery or die. Yet it was precisely because they were in this position that God was able to part the waters, and lure the Egyptians into the sea, where He annihilated them!
Sons and daughters of the Most High God, that is exactly what the Lord is doing right now. He is luring the Egyptians into the sea, so that He can destroy them. He is going to utterly destroy the entrenchments of evil that have come through the established strategies of the elite and those in high places on the mountains of culture.
But where are you in this scenario? Are you still in Egypt? COME OUT FROM HER! Don’t be afraid to follow the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire – the movement of the Holy Spirit.
Are you on the edge of the red sea alongside the rest of those who have already been obedient and can see the approaching army? Do not fear! This is not a time for focusing on the Egyptian army, but for looking to the Lord. We are about to see great and mighty miracles on this earth! We are about to see the mighty hand of God split the waters open before us and utterly expose and destroy our enemies. We are about to see what many generations before us have longed to see. It is a privilege to stand on the edge of the red sea. Keep your eyes on the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. Move when He moves. Stay when He stays. And watch for the deliverance of the Lord before your very eyes.
