I recently heard the Lord speak something to me that I feel is a very strategic word of direction and encouragement for the body of Christ at this time. And that is to MOVE FORWARD!
As I have shared previously, we are prophetically at the edge of the red sea in this point in world history. We can see the waters that would threaten to drown us on one side, and on the other side is the Egyptian army galloping directly towards us. Not a pretty place to be in, in the natural.
Yet for the Israelites, it was the site of a great miracle, and we too are on the precipice of seeing a move of God that will be so powerful that the whole world will know that indeed He is God. Who else can part a sea but our mighty Father?
Of course, we think of that story, and sometimes we forget that God didn’t just do this miracle independently of man. In fact, He parted the waters in response to the obedience of His children. When they saw the Egyptians heading their way, they cried out to the Lord. But what was His response to them?
The Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry to Me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward! Exodus 14:15 (AMPC)
As they moved forward, the sea parted. And I can assure you, the Lord is saying the same thing to us today. In fact, what He specifically spoke to me was that:
MOVING FORWARD IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPONS YOU HAVE IN THIS TIME.
In other words, moving forward is not only about our obedience and trust. It’s actually a WEAPON! It’s as much of a weapon for us as intercession and worship, and our spiritual weapons trump every natural weapon that could ever be aimed against us. It’s absolutely powerful!
So why is moving forward such a powerful spiritual weapon at this time and why does God want us to wield it? Because it’s coming in the opposite spirit of all satan is trying to bring against us, and all He is trying to get us to believe and agree with. At the end of the day, satan is not in charge of what is happening here on earth. God gave man authority on this earth, and the freedom of choice to decide whether we are going to agree with His plans or the plans of our enemy.
Here we are, royal sons created in the image of our Father God… and satan is trying to lock us up, limit us, restrict us, and enslave us. We’re united in spirit with the Creator of the Universe and are called to live a wide-open, spacious life in the Kingdom of God… and satan wants us to cower and shrink our lives and our dreams into the seeming reality of our present circumstances. He is trying to tell us that we have no future, that it’s all over, and all we can do is either give up the dreams that God has placed in our hearts or bow the knee so that we can supposedly be given permission to fulfil them.
Hmmm, when have we heard the lie before that we do not have a future? Satan has been getting good mileage out of that one for a long time. The last couple of generations believed the lie that they didn’t have a future… that it was all going to get worse and worse until we couldn’t take it any more and that then Jesus would come and rescue us. As a result, they stopped building. Yet without vision the people perish (Prov 29:18). There was supposedly no future, nothing we could do about it, and nothing to prepare for except to bunker down in apathy… not realising that the power to change the world was actually inside of us all the time, and that we could move forward on the power of the promises of God to our hearts and the vision He was speaking over us.
At the same time as the body of Christ stopped moving forward and became powerless on the earth, our enemy was still advancing. As a result, he is now deeply entrenched in every level of culture and society and we are not. We believed the lie, and now we’re faced with the consequences of that disobedience.
What do we do, in the midst of the mess that our own apathy as a body has brought us into? We obey Jesus, who tells us to …not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Rom 12:21).
So if we’re going to overcome evil with good, we’re going to have to believe what GOD says, not what satan says. We cannot succumb to the same lie which got us into this mess in the first place… the lie that we don’t have a future. We do indeed have a future, and believing sons know that the same promise that God had given them before the world was plunged into chaos, is still true today. God hasn’t changed His mind just because satan has unleashed his strategies against us. In fact, the last time I looked, God was still on the throne, and the government has not taken His place. He is preparing us for His Kingdom era and nothing is going to stop that.
Moving forward is also powerful because it keeps our eyes on the King, instead of the distractions created by our enemy. Those who are in love with their King know how to keep our gaze on Him and see from heaven’s perspective. I can tell you, heaven is not in a panic about what is happening on the earth. Those with their eyes on their King know that He is a forward moving God. He is holding out His hand and beckoning us to step into the next amazing season of our lives. We know that we have a future and a destiny because we know His voice and He is urging us forward. We are empowered to build for Him.
So what and who are we going to agree with, because our choice is powerful on the earth? And what are we going to do about it, now that the world is getting more chaotic every day?
We’re going to get quiet, listen to His voice, and then do what He says. Just like before.
Recently, the Lord asked me to call a fast. It wasn’t a fast from food, but rather a FAST FROM EVERY VOICE BUT HIS.
The enemy has been screaming loudly. Even the awakening about what is really going on and how ugly the tentacles of the elites actually are, has been sounding loudly in our ears, threatening to bring us into fear and therefore into agreement with the same spirit that is right now controlling the world. WE CANNOT OVERCOME ANY SPIRIT THAT WE ARE IN AGREEMENT WITH, IN OUR HEARTS.
What God showed me during this fast settled it for me. I realised that it looked pretty bad for the Israelites at the edge of the red sea when the Egyptian army was charging towards them… yet the red sea opened and it was the Egyptians who were drowned. It looked pretty bad for Ezekiel when Jezebel told him that she would have him killed by this time the next day… yet she was the one who was killed. It looked pretty bad for the Jewish people when they were told the date of their annihilation… yet it was Haman who hung on his own gallows.
The word of the Lord stands, today, yesterday and forever. God’s Word will not return to Him void (Isa 55:11). He doesn’t change His plans because of satan’s plans, and in fact none of this took Him by surprise one little bit. God is still moving forward with HIS plans, and those who are one in heart with Him can do nothing else but continue to move forward, too.
If He has spoken vision to your heart and it was true before the plandemic, it’s still true today. The test will be to trust that HE will bring it to pass, and not to put your vision on the altar of your heart as an idol, and bow the knee to agendas that clearly do not come from the throne of heaven, in order to fulfil it. This is a very important caution. If you are trying to move forward in mixture – doing what God has asked but conforming to ungodly requirements of the world in order to do so – your forward movement will not be a weapon of the Kingdom, but rather a snare of the enemy, not only to you but to those you influence. The Israelites didn’t jump on a government boat and go across the red sea – helping God to ‘accomplish’ their vision. They obeyed what He said in purity and saw the waters part. Only God is going to be able to do this and He will NOT partner with mixture.
Yet for those who won’t bow the knee to any other God but Him, we’re about to see extraordinary things. Do you want to know what is happening right now? The Kingdom of God and the heart of our Papa God are about to be put on display to the entire world! We’re not in the worst times you can imagine – we’re about to step into the most exciting times imaginable! The Kingdom era! As I’ve been saying for some time, God is looking for those who will sit quietly in the secret place with Him and receive the blueprints from heaven for the replacement Kingdom systems that are about to be established on earth. Babylon is falling, and as the people stream out of it, they are going to run to the place where there is light, life and hope – where there are solutions that actually work.
Heaven knows how to heal people, how to prosper them, how to teach them, and how to govern them. You just watch the Babylonian counterfeits fall, and God rebuild nations in front of our eyes, with His Kingdom systems. It might look as though everything is crashing down around you, but it will only be temporary, and out of the ashes of the fall, you will see the new Kingdom systems arising. He is both rooting out and destroying, and building up and planting (Jeremiah 1:10).
What satan means for harm, God will use for good. Our enemy thinks he’s going to win, but he’s actually only accelerating the transfer from the kingdom of this world to the Kingdom of God, and making it very clear which system works and which system doesn’t.
Satan knows he can only defeat us if he can deceive us, because WE are the ones who are powerful on this earth, not him. Listen to what our all-powerful Father says to us:
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 (NKJV)
When you move forward – in HIS ways, not the world’s – you obliterate satan’s lies, smash his deceptions, and give those around you the empowerment to do the same. As the people of God move forward, they root out and destroy the enemy’s plans, and they build up and plant God’s (Jer 1:10). You may not be able to see what is happening in the supernatural, but when you refuse to be limited and bound, and move forward as a glorious son arising, satan doesn’t know what to do with you. In the end, there’s nothing he can do but turn tail and run (James 4:7).
So be brave, my courageous brother or sister. It’s not for you to give your attention to the circumstances or to be derailed by sinister agendas. Sit quietly with the Lord as though nothing has changed, and if you’ll listen with a heart that is willing to say ‘Yes!’ to whatever He tells you to do, you’ll hear Him call you forward and you’ll know the next step to take. And as you take it, you’ll cause the enemy’s altars to come tumbling down.
Let your eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and let your gaze be straight before you. Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered aright. Turn not aside to the right hand or to the left; remove your foot from evil. Proverbs 4:25 – 27 (AMPC).
